Our Story
Hi, I’m Mariama AKA Yamou, the founder of Háya. For as long as I can remember, I’ve worn the hijab and abaya—symbols of my faith, my culture, and my personal journey. But growing up, I often found that modest fashion didn’t always feel as vibrant or stylish as I wanted it to be. I longed for clothing that allowed me to express my personality, my creativity, and my love for fashion—without compromising on modesty.
That’s why I created Háya—a brand dedicated to offering chic, modest wear that makes women feel confident and beautiful, no matter the occasion. I believe that modesty doesn’t mean sacrificing style.
